Rebounding
The Enlightened Way to Exercise
All 80 Trillion Cells of Your Body

When most people think about enlightenment they usually think about meditation, sitting down and repeating a mantra without any physical activity. Or more likely they would think about yoga but exercising doesn’t really come to mind when we talk about getting enlightened, yet it should. Actually yoga asanas were created by yogis because they noticed their bodies were deteriorating because of how many hours they spent meditating while simply sitting down. In today’s modern world the average person spends many hours a day sitting down while at work, in front of the computer or watching TV.

Research shows that immediately after you sit down the electrical activity in your muscles slows down and your calorie burning rate drops to one calorie per minute (about 1/3 compared to walking). If you sit down for more than 6 hours a day for two weeks your muscles start to atrophy and your maximum oxygen consumption drops. After one year of sitting down for more than 6 hours a day you might start to experience weight gain and high cholesterol. Plus studies suggest that women can lose up to 1% of bone mass a year from sitting 6 hours a day. Even if you work out every day the deterioration starts immediately when you stop moving.

Studies suggest that we can counteract this by getting up at least once every hour and get at least 30 minutes of activity per day. Yet many of us are extremely occupied with work, a family and other tasks to fulfill throughout the day, we can’t find 30 minutes to do yoga, go to the gym or exercise at home.

There is a better, more efficient and less time consuming way of exercising ALL the 80 trillion cells in your body within only 10 minutes! Yes, you read it right, instead of doing a 30 or 60 minute workout, which probably won’t exercise all the trillions of cells in your body, you could instead do rebounding (jumping on a mini-trampoline) for 10 minutes a day and work out your entire body. If you work at home you can even rebound for 1 or 2 minutes every other hour and not only prevent your body from deteriorating but you can also achieve incredible health benefits.

When we think of exercising we often think of the benefits our muscles will get, yet we rarely think of the benefits exercising has for the brain. Our brain needs exercise to function properly.

“Exercise boosts blood flow to the brain, which helps supply oxygen, glucose and nutrients and takes away toxic substances. Anything that limits blood flow results in poorer oxygenation, glucose delivery, and nutrient deficiencies.” –Dr. Amen Magnificient Mind at Any Age

Dr. Amen says that if the deep areas of the brain are starved of healthy blood flow you will have problems with coordination and procession complex thoughts. Jumping on a mini trampoline or rebounding is simply the best exercise you can do for your entire body, including your brain. As quoted by NASA, exercise on a mini-trampoline is “the most efficient and effective exercise yet devised by man.”

Benefits of Rebounding

Non-impact aerobic exercise that is gentle on your back and knees. Helps relieve joint, back, neck and head pain through the increase of circulation and oxygen flow. Exercise keeps your brain young because it generates new brain cells in the prefrontal cortex (brain area responsible for judgment and thoughtfulness) and temporal lobes (associated with memory). The truth is that exercising not only keeps your body full of vitality, strength and young it helps you become happier and more intelligent.

The state of weightlessness achieved at the top of each jump produces twice the force of gravity on each bounce. This shift in gravity is what works out and benefits every muscle and cell of your body plus provides huge benefits to your lymphatic system.

68% more efficient than jogging. One hour on a rebounder will burn more calories than an hour of jogging.

Boosts energy and fights fatigue by strengthening your glandular system (thyroid, pituitary and the adrenals.

Rebounding conditions and strengthens your heart by sending a stronger surge of blood through the veins keeping you younger. Declining performance of the heart and circulatory system is one of the primary causes of aging.

Lowers cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

It increases metabolism which assists the body in burning more calories.

Rebounding increases capacity for respiration.

Rebounding gets the lymphatic system flowing by up to 15%, thus increasing the amount of waste and toxins being flushed out of the body.

Allows for deeper and easier relaxation and sleep. This means that you will also be able to enjoy deeper relaxation during your meditations on your path to get enlightened.

Results in better mental performance, with keener learning processes. If you mediate and repeat mantras this will help you stay more focused and not get lost in the mind chatter.

Rebounding strengthens your immune system.

Jumping on a mini-trampoline is suitable for everyone, from kids to the grandparents, anyone can benefit from this fun exercise.

Best Rebounder?

Not all rebounders are the same. When investing in such an important device you want to make sure you are getting a high quality exercise trampoline. Many mini trampolines use weak steel springs or bungee cords causing sinking and pronation of feet and knees, which can cause back and knee problems. The first mini trampoline I bought was from a major department store and it broke with a couple of weeks.

That is when I decided to give the Cellerciser a try after doing some research for the best mini trampoline. The Celllerciser has been the only rebounder that after continued and extended use I haven’t felt my knees or lower back complain, quite the contrary I feel that my knees and lower back have gotten stronger. For that reason alone I think the Cellerciser is the best mini trampoline out there.

I love the fact that I can workout during the day without wasting a lot of time going to the gym or doing a 1hr DVD exercise program. I can jump on the mini trampoline inside or outside the house when the weather is nice. I spend a lot of time working in front of a computer and after a few hours I can feel my body getting tired, by jumping on the mini trampoline I can instantly change my state and feel more energized.  In only 10 minutes I can get a full body work out, that is not only convenient but priceless!
